Bill Goddu contributes in his role as Vice President, Marketing as “Brand Steward/Creative Director” to Pennsylvania based FLEETWOOD Fixtures from Chicago; responsible for advertising, marketing and strategic creative services. His tenure with FLEETWOOD began in 2005, as vice president, design and development and expanded into his current role of developing and supporting the individual creative service programs required to meet the needs of a diversified retail client base, as well as the expansion of FLEETWOOD into other markets.
From 2001-2005 as Partner and vice president, Design and Development, Goddu spearheaded a product development team at DOVERRA LLC, a cementicious material organization focused on developing and licensing technological innovation in the field of sustainable building materials Previously Bill spent 14 years as Creative Director for Chicago based MET, a fully diversified retail fixturing/visual merchandising and design driven product marketing organization. Bill’s position evolved into EVP of Design and Development, and he became an equity partner, strategically positioning the business for its acquisition by Leggett & Platt.
Bill’s earlier experiences include Chicago based Marshall Field’s as a member of the Corporate Visual Merchandising team incorporating Shop in Shop concepts into the organization as well as developing private label branding expressions for Fields. Prototype Store Design ideation for Montgomery Ward’s, brought Goddu to Chicago in 1987. Goddu began his first decade of retail experience at John Wanamaker in Philadelphia, reporting directly to the EVP of Advertising and Sales Promotion and working within the disciplines of advertising - sales promotion, fashion presentation, “Display” and store planning and design during the restoration of the historic landmark.
He received his BFA in Architectural Interiors from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, MA. Earlier educational focuses included visual arts, decorative arts and theater. Goddu has received multiple points of recognition from VMSD and DDI, for retail product presentations. |
