Commonly Asked Questions for the Store Planning Category
Sponsored by
Question:
Can the space be designed to combine both men and women’s cosmetics/perfume or should it represent a single gender, either male or female?

Answer: Either. It could be combined or represent just one gender.

Question:
Can you tell me if the design students are to develop their own brand name or use an existing brand name for the cosmetics shop concept design competition?

Answer: They should use existing, but the brand name is not the important part, it’s how it’s shown.

Question:
Is the design of the cosmetics section supposed to include an area for makeup or just limited to fragrances?

Answer: This is for fragrance, so space for makeup is not necessary.

Question:
Can signage and lighting be hung from the ceiling?

Answer: It is recommended that you not hang any signage from the ceiling. Lighting can be hung from the ceiling if it is a necessary part of the design only.
