PAVE Announces 13th Annual Gala
Hollywood, Fla. (July 24, 2009)—Retail luminaries will gather to celebrate the next generation of retail design at the Planning and Visual Education Partnership's (PAVE) 2009 Gala, Wednesday, Dec. 9, 2009, from 7 to 10:30 p.m. at the Metropolitan Pavilion, New York. The gala event, including cocktails, dinner, music, and awards, will be followed by an After Party from 10:30 p.m. to Midnight. Now in its 13th year, the Gala is a major fundraiser for PAVE.
The event will recognize the best in New York City retail design and visual merchandising, with excellence in visual merchandising awards presented by VMSD and best NYC windows presented by DDI. The winner’s of PAVE's 2009 Student Design Competition will be announced and the students will receive financial grants on behalf of PAVE. And PAVE will present the third annual Rising Star Awards to recognize young visual and
retail design professionals in our industry.
Chairing the 2009 event are Nancy Jackson, president, Architectural Systems Inc., and Linda Lombardi, vice president, global store design and visual merchandising, Godiva.
Various levels of sponsorships are available, ranging from sponsoring the awards program to sponsoring a student or educator to attend the event. Gala journal sponsorships are also available. Sponsorships may be taxdeductible as a charitable donation.

Founded in 1992, The Planning and Visual Education Partnership’s (PAVE) objective is to encourage students to study in the field of retail design and planning and visual merchandising through its annual Student Design Competition. Additionally, PAVE seeks to encourage retail management, store planners, visual merchandisers, architects, and manufacturers to interact with and support design students. This is accomplished through projects, seminars, workshops, and the annual fundraising Gala with proceeds dedicated to educational programs and projects benefiting students.
